High Fibre For Diabetic Problem
The American Diabetes Association recommended that diabetes patients must consume about 25 grams of high fiber everyday. The latest research has revealed that when daily intake of if increased by 50 grams will reduce the risk of the diabetes disease condition or even can prevent us from further taking medicines. 50 grams of fiber is actually equivalent to 7 to 8 pieces of fruits and vegetables , 3 types of whole grains or other high fiber grains.
In USA , in every 1000,000 people , there will be 2000 diabetes patients. In fact the rate is kept on increasing. Most of the diabetes condition has to depend on diet , weight reduction or daily consumption of medicine to control the situation.
A research has been done to 13 patients. Amongst , 10 of them still under medication. The researcher , a medical doctor from UT South West Hospital has instructed the patients to take 25 grams of fiber for 6 weeks ( the average American will take 16 to 17 grams of fiber ).
Another group were given with higher dosage of fiber and also taken for 6 weeks. Experiment result shows that the experimental group’s blood sugar level has drop
10 %. A medical doctor from Clunpern Diabetes Centre regards the efficacy of blood sugar reduction is equivalent consuming type 2 diabetes control medicine.
Presently the American Diabetes Association has wrote an article in the New England Medical Journal to study on this matter and it is hope that there will be fruitful result next year.
This research on high fibre reveals that the cholesterol level of the diabetes patient can be reduced which is indeed a great news to the diabetes patient. This is because diabetes is still one of the major cause of death.
